Flu Vaccinations

Remember, remember your flu jab before December!

As flu season approaches, local Birmingham and Solihull people are being encouraged to have their flu jab before December. A free NHS flu vaccine is available every year to eligible people, to help protect them from risk of flu and its complications.

So if you are pregnant, over 65, or have a long term health condition, make sure to get in touch with your GP or local pharmacy. Children aged 2 or 3 are also eligible.

Flu can be serious, and is very different to the common cold. If you are in an at- risk group, it can even be life threatening. That is why it is important for you and your family to stay protected this winter.

The best way to do that is to speak to your GP or pharmacist about a flu jab. Pregnant women, the over 65s, children ages 2 and 3 and those with long term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes will all be entitled to a free vaccination, so make sure you make an appointment before flu season begins: https://bit.ly/2yjmVOM
